thanks for taking the time to read my question...
I am an IMG-to-be in a year and will be taking
USMLE around the time I graduate...i would like
to do my residency in my own school in my country(s.korea)
however i would like to do my clinical fellowship in the US preferrably in the state of NY.
I have heard that if you do not practice in ?7 years
after having passed your USMLE, the license expires.
is this true? is fellowship going to be included in the
term "practice"? and is it possible and if so what are the
chances of getting a position as a clinical fellow (i'm thinking of medicine) w/o having done my residency in
the US. I speak english fluently from my high school
education in the us.
i would like to know if this is a very rare case or
if i can look forward to doing it w/o too much
difficulty and also the procedures i need to take
in doing this...(ex. whether I need to have a NY state licensure, etc.)and what would help me more
in my acquisition of position (like a Ph.D?)
please help me..thank you
